This question was asked on the Dutch hair forum I joined yesterday and thought "hey, fun question!". So.. I am wondering how many of you know the name you would have had if you weren't born as a boy (or a girl).

As for me, it is likely Marcel, as my brother's name is, but I will cross check with my dad in a few hours. Well.. back later, and he didn't know anymore. Too long ago. Ah well smile.gif

yes, i do know what i would've been: George, my grandfather's name on my father's side of the family.

i think i like this better than my current name. i have an unusual name and i asked my mum what it meant when i was little and she told me that it meant a "good luck charm".
years later, i looked on the internet and read somewhere on a name site that it's a welsh curse. dry.gif

flourisse/laugh.gif i probably should have clarified, i didn't think about it until afterwards!
when i said "curse", i didn't mean curse as in those bad words, that i'm so fond of.
i meant curse as in: a wish to cause misfortune.

i've never been able to figure out if she was hoping i would be doomed or whomever said my name was supposed to be doomed. flourisse/laugh.gif

don't mess with me, man! tongue.gif
