I have been trying this and just made a French braid, yes, on myself.

Here is the video on how to do it on someone else and how to on yourself.

And here is my second attempt and my fifth or so.:

Quite an improvement huh??

Hrmm.. looks like I got a bald spot going on the left one, trust me, LOL I am not growing bald, it is just the lighting, flash, and hair pulled aside at the wrong spot.

Oh.. and there are two creatures in the left picture, see if you can find the second one biggrin.gif

Mind... now everyone knows my hair length and color.. blink.gif

Mind you.. seeing that picture, can you believe my dad, years ago, had the nerve to call me a blonde??? And no, my hair color hasn't changed flourisse/laugh.gif

Oh, and I wasn't referring to him calling me stupid, he was referring to my actual hair color.

no wonder your braid came out so nice; you've got two hands and two paws to help.
no fair, eadwine!
mine would never be that helpful, but they'd be glad to decorate my braid with a chipmunk tail or bird feather or two. dry.gif

Progress folks, progress!

I have added another picture to the first post and edited the text content a bit. This is after two days of practicing smile.gif

well, i've learned one thing...

i need to buy a hairbrush! flourisse/laugh.gif blink.gif
i haven't had one for over twenty years. i'm used to combing it out after i get out of the shower and that's it, for the day. i'm re-discovering the joys of tangled ends. or having the option of a wet braid that drips all over the back of my shirt. yuck.

*laughs*

If you are getting a brush, I have read that a wooden one isn't bad at all. Saves you the static and other things as well, if you know what I mean.

I just joined this long hair webforum, nifty tips there too smile.gif

Oh, here: link.

Another trick, to avoid drips: wrap towel around your hair while you dry the rest of the body. Carefully brush it out and then braid smile.gif Be careful, hair is weaker when wet.
