I see that post up there saying start a topic so thought I would throw this one out at you all. biggrin.gif Anyone have any specific traditions for the holidays you partake in each year? I can't say as I do any longer, each year is just winging it now. LOL When I was a kid I do remember that every Christmas eve, our family's best friends (Mr. & Mrs. Valle with their two children... pronounced Valley) would be over and each kid would curl up on an adults lap while Mr. Valle and my dad would take yearly turns reading 'The Night Before Christmas'. The holidays with the Valle's are some of my favorite memories. Christmas eve at our house and New Years eve at their house.

Anyone else? biggrin.gif

When my grandparents were still alive, everyone drew names after Thanksgiving dinner. Then on Christmas Eve, everyone gathered at my grandparents house to exchange gifts. There was always candies and cookies my Grandma had made, various finger foods and punch.

It was probably the only time my whole family could be together and not fight about something. smile.gif
