if i'm not mistaken, it's summer at eadwine's. i want to come hang out in your back yard, lay in the sun and drink lemonade! cool.gif
it seems like spring is hanging back: a snowstorm last week which brought snow and downed limbs everywhere, a storm today (which is bringing less than the forecast called for, but still...bah!) and a nor'easter coming sunday morning and is predicted to linger about until tuesday morning. double bah.

i'm sick of puffy coats and clompy boots, i tell you! flourisse/crybaby.gif

...sorry flourisse/blush.gif just needed to vent!

It sure is summer over here! We just hit 20C + (about 70) and it's getting higher).

Last year we beat the temperature in the African desert.... I sure hope this summer is not going to top that one, however, I fear the worst.

Not that I mind too much as I am more accustomed to hot than to cold (I mean.. I am in a sweater right now and it is 24C in this room, go figure), but my clients sure will (read: they will be _ instead of | ), and I prefer them being | !!

I adapted the layout of the diary a little bit. Different image, one I took myself, different colors. Just to fit with the feeling of summer biggrin.gif

I hear ya on the venting bit! Come on over.. as of the 23rd I have a week off.

I do hope the weather will last till then flourisse/laugh.gif

note to self: buy hose for watering garden...

the pansies are beautiful! did you grow those yourself?
i can't wait to have flowers in the yard. i have lilies, lily of the valley, foxgloves, sweet williams, clematis, peonies, and assorted herbs. i'm curious to see how they'll do since we've had a strange winter (cold, mild, cold, mild, cold, mild and then snow and ice as soon as things started budding or poking up).

i saw a bee on my car window yesterday. i was thinking of him when i drove home from my mum's today and the windows were pelted with lots of sleet...the herons have been sitting at the rookery down the road, on their nests, for the last couple of weeks. the canadian geese have been coming back. everyone is on schedule except the weather... dry.gif

Nope, those came out of various plastic pots that I planted in groups. flourisse/laugh.gif I planted those just before winter hit here, but the picture was made today.

I do have to get something to water them though. I am doing it with a liter cup now, that isn't good for the long term however. Soon enough things will get hotter and then of course all the stuff will be sold out. Maybe tomorrow with my dad, to go check some options out.

I hope your weather pans out. For here it is far too hot for the time of year, we are about 10 degrees above normal tomorrow, so that is not something to not be concerned about.

hey, if you're hiding pretties in your garden, i think you should put a picture in your blog. i'm nosy. flourisse/laugh.gif

I'd have to dig up that picture then, I will put it up maybe tomorrow, as House is about to start wink.gif

Found it, here is a quicky:

The purple flower is the one here:

vertical height about half way, horizontally seen it is just left of its half way

it's the light purple flower there I think smile.gif

oh, you've got all of the stuff i'm yearning to see: flowers, grass, dirt, walkways.
i've got nothing but lumpy snow covering my crocuses and lilies. in fact, i put little buckets (that last year's tomato plants came in when i bought them) over some of my crocuses because i didn't want them to get flattened out. boo. sad.gif

btw, what is that large flower off to the left of the picture? it's pretty and i don't think i recognize it...

It's called flowritus artificialitus biggrin.gif

got it from a client, and it is nice and colorful in there. It turns like a little windmill when the wind blows.

Right now I would advise against being in my back yard.

Reason?

yay! no more cup for you!
it looks like a good place to be on a hot sunny day, in a lawn chair and bathing suit.

all this talk about nice weather made me buy edie's frozen fruit bars, in coconut flavor.
i may not have sun, flowers, grass, but damn it, i'm laying in bed eating popsicles tonight! flourisse/laugh.gif

EadwineRose- 04-13-2007
*laughs* I actually bought the things today. Just to make sure I would have them in stock flourisse/laugh.gif

I just got those second hand. Four seats with adjustable backs + cushions and table, and one of those little seat side table things that you see in the image. The other chairs are in the shed now, since I don't have to sit on four seats at the same time wink.gif

Anyone up for icy cold drinks? biggrin.gif

adrian- 04-14-2007
When should I come? cool.gif

EadwineRose- 04-14-2007
