| I felt it was refreshing to read this article, for the most part. It was good to see someone on a federal level realize that parents should be the ones responsible for keeping an eye on their children and their actions, and that the government not only has no place doing this, but, that the loss of freedom of speech is not worth the benefit here. Of course, it was pretty saddening to see the following:
I find that to be fairly absurd. It is completely reasonable for the government to expect parents to be aware of what their children are doing on the internet, and in life period. The idea that bodies of the government think that they are more capable of monitoring my children than I am is flatly appalling, and woefully communistic and naive. |
