I discovered my first gray hair today. I went to my client and showed it to her, she happyjoyed with me and then she says:

shall I pull it out for you?

Wanting to be helpful of course flourisse/laugh.gif

I said: WHAT? heck no, that is my hair, and my gray hair stays on my head flourisse/laugh.gif I will wear it with pride. biggrin.gif

unsure.gif it doesn't bother you??? you're still young!

i hate mine; they're silver! you can wear mine with pride too, if you want! flourisse/lmao.gif
i'll fed ex them over...

i've come to terms with having them eventually; i've decided that i just can't have them until i'm about 55, that's all. and i've decided that i won't be able to just cut it off like so many older women do, i'll braid it and coil it. i'll also have to have an extensive hair accessory collection so that it will look pretty while i have it up. happy.gif
right now, i'm kind of lazy. i only put my hair up when it's very hot or when it's driving me bananas.

You are making me VERY curious indeed about what it looks like now! flourisse/laugh.gif

55? Nah, those NOT gray by that age are oddities or hennaheads wink.gif I was hoping to reach 35 before the first, but that wasn't meant to be. Ah well, accept, move on.

you can send your grays over, but I am wondering if they will behave on me!

the first picture i ever sent to you is current; it was only about two weeks old when i sent it. i cheat with coloring, but i match to my own color since i'm not even close to a third being gray.
every time i do it, i always wonder what it would look like if i didn't color. recently, i decided that i would stop when i was older than i am now, but not too much older. i'll probably grow out my color with a reverse highlight in order to help to disguise the line of demarcation. over time, i'll reverse highlight smaller and smaller areas until finally the color is nearly gone. i always say "yuk" when i see some little teeny old lady with jet black hair and i don't want to look like that when i'm old. i'm not sure who they think they're fooling. rolleyes.gif

It looked like you had short hair in that picture though, that is why I was wondering smile.gif

As for some ladies, they CAN have the hair, indeed. I have had a client just yesterday that was OLD, and still had 85-90% of her own color in there. Speak of wow.

ravenranter- 09-14-2007
yeah, they're the lucky ducks! - those who ever have little or no gray hair in old age.
i'll never be that lucky. my mum was over half gray by the time she turned thirty and she's been blonde ever since. maybe i tend to be more like my dad, but i'll never know because he was bald by the time i was old enough to be curious. flourisse/laugh.gif

the picture that was all hair, and nothing else, was the most recent of the two that i sent. the group picture was the starting point of me having decided to grow longer hair and is older.

EadwineRose- 09-14-2007
Ah.. I remember the group one, but not the all hair one. That is where the confusion lies here smile.gif

ravenranter- 09-14-2007
flourisse/sherlock.gif aha! so, that's it.

i just refreshed your memory for you, via email...

EadwineRose- 09-14-2007
Thank you!! Memory gotten kick in tush. I remember again flourisse/laugh.gif

No grey here yet...
But if they arrive, I'm not pulling them, those poor hairs :-)

EadwineRose- 10-14-2007
Exactly..all the trouble they went through and then yank. Ain't gonna help one bit anyway flourisse/laugh.gif They always come back with friends.

eresh- 10-15-2007
Just like spiders ;-)

EadwineRose- 10-15-2007
Now those don't bother me either for some reason. As long as they don't crawl on me!

plain-wrap- 10-16-2007
I have some white hairs...but they're not on my head blink.gif

Is that TMI? unsure.gif
