I am so thrilled! flourisse/celebrate.gif

I am already working on a feeding place for the birds for the winter. Something hanging off a wall so predators won't be able to reach it as easily. The Robin feeder will now be added of course!

It sure is getting flourisse/cold.gif here! 3 November is the first day that I had to remove the ice from my car windows this winter. My fingers are almost always freezing. I don't want to crank up the heater to 20C all the time, that stuff COSTS you know flourisse/laugh.gif

I did some looking about, and those European Robins sure look different than their American counterparts. Here is a picture of a European Robin and here is one of an American one. Watch the little heads. Nifty!

Ahhhh.. I have life in my garden! Yay! flourisse/celebrate.gif

oh, he's (?) beautiful! i think he's much prettier than his american counterpart.
i had a robin hanging about late in the fall, last year. he could fly, but had a wing injury. he hung around right up until late november/early december.
i fed him along with the other birds and eventually he disappeared.

do the european ones stay for the winter???
i don't think that ours do. at least, i never see them.

Yep, they stay all through the winter over here. It is actually a bit of a challenge to see the first robin smile.gif Means winter is coming. Well....

No doubt about that one! flourisse/cold.gif

I have no idea whether it is male or female, but it's cute, and that is what matters. My dad just told me that he no longer has the hanging hooks he used to have at his place, so.. going to get me one then, and a plateau for seeds.

Heh.. at least they have plenty of view to see the neighbor's cat coming and they'll be gone in time. smile.gif Not worried about that one.

I love winter! (hate it too because it is too damn cold, but I love it flourisse/laugh.gif)
